The Sunshine Space is a non-profit coffee shop, art gallery, and studio that provide an enjoyable experience to the art lovers and designers in Toronto downtown area to come and celebrate art, and share joy. Our space is well designed for art opening nights, adults and children workshops, and networking social gatherings. The Sunshine Space team has managed to become masters of the art connection. People will find unforgettable experience here.
The Sunshine Space was founded by a team of like-minded foodies; a group of friends who has always liked to eat, drink, and enjoy art together. Our hobby quickly led us to opening this Coffee Shop, a place where people from Great Area of Toronto can meet and enjoy our special dishes, and comfortable atmosphere while seeing art.

Exhibition Department
Max Johnson
Event Coordinator
Max Johnson is one of the first staff at The Sunshine Space. A true people’s person who manages events for adult workshops and opening nights, and she collaborates with the development and outreach people.
Brynn Myers
Director of Development
Brynn Myers builds The Sunshine Space’s capacity for an elevated fundraising strategy aligned with its long-term vision.
Larah Luna
Marketing and Outreach Coordinator
Larah Luna is responsible for reaching out artists and speakers, and for scheduling events, and doing events promotions on various media and press forums.
River Watts
Bartender
River Watts joined us after working in some of the most successful eateries in town. A true foodie, curious, detail-oriented, and he is the best Bartender guests could have hoped for.
Jesse Neimus
Chef
Jesse Neimus has recently joined The Sunshine Space. She is creative, energetic, and a great team player; she is the perfect addition to our trained team. Come and enjoy her skills!
Michael Druo
Coffee assistant
Michael Druo is our part-time coffee assistant. He is studying Master of Arts in University of Toronto. He loves to talk to people and sharing his art interests.
Design Department
Rui Kang
CEO & Senior Designer
Rui Kang leads her design team from her office on the second floor of The Sunshine Space design studio. She is the owner of The Sunshine Space. Her vision is to create a restful art environment for people to enjoy afternoon coffee and art.
Nilu Senevi
Junior Designer
Nilu Senevi graduated from OCADU Graphic Design program. He is responsible for logo design, menus design, event poster design, and also collaborate with outreach coordinator for social media post.
Kasia Gladki
Design Internship
Kasia Gladki is our one-year contract intern, she is assisting both Rui and Nilu’s design works.
Workshops Team
Ash Marcus
Head of Workshops and Education
Ash Marcus has 6 years adults and children teaching experience. She and her team are responsible for planning workshops event season by season, and considering how to development idea for new and old students.
Charlie McMann
Children Workshops Teacher
Kids love Charlie McMann, and they love to tell her stories about their work; besides, Jenney is very patient with students. You can often see her side by side with her students.
Jordan Parker
Adult Workshops Teacher
Jordan Parker often has very outstanding idea for adult workshops, and he knows how to create space for people to try on their idea before giving any advice.
